Some tasty yarnporn… Skein Merino Cashmere Fingering in Tuscany

Working on another test knit- some fingerless gloves with a really awesome stitch pattern. I thought they would be way too big for me, but they are only going to be slightly too big! Hooray! They are so cute and cozy though, I can’t wait to finish them, then start another pair!

Another Xmas gift to share… I revisited one of my favorite fingerless glove patterns, Spiral Staircase Mitts, using Malabrigo Rios in Pocion.
I wasn’t sure about the color initially- I didn’t know what color to choose for the recipient, and I am not really all that fond of blue, but this seemed like it would work out nicely… I’m glad I went with it- I really love it! I’ll definitely buy more of this color way…
Well, once I decide I can buy yarn again XD My stash is out of control, and really, I don’t need to buy more yarn. No buying yarn! Don’t do it, Jessica, just don’t… Unless it’s on sale, or being discontinued, just don’t buy the yarn for at least two months. I feel like two months is doable~ I guess we’ll see!
Oooh, long time, no post. It’s been a busy few weeks leading up to the holidays!
I knitted this 198 Yards of Heaven as a gift for a friend. I originally was going to use the yarn for fingerless mitts, but had too many screw ups, and just ended up going with this pattern. While the FO turned out just fine for a gift, I’m definitely not going to go with 198 Yards again- I did like how fast it went, but I really didn’t enjoy knitting it, and felt like the pattern was poorly laid out and explained.
Anyway, I used Madelinetosh Vintage in Duchess and Venetian, both beautiful colors! Not totally in love with Vintage, it doesn’t quite have the same softness that Tosh DK does, but it’s still really great yarn.
Hooray, finished another shawlette! It’s another Summer Flies, with modifications, using Malabrigo Worsted Merino in Damask. My project is Raveled here if you’re into that kind of thing ;)
I love this pattern so much! It’s so easy to modify to be exactly what you want, and very forgiving if you happen to make mistakes. Though I always forget how much I loath knitting 400 stitch rows, ha. I’m happy it’s done :)
Now, on to holiday gift knitting! How many pairs of fingerless gloves can I make? Let’s find out!

My first stranded/Fair Isle project! I’m pretty pleased with how it came out, I’ll definitely revisit this pattern again.
Pattern is Opus Spicatum, yarn is Malabrigo Merino Worsted (in Damask Pink and Tortuga), and my project is Raveled here.
Some freshly knitted socks! I love how quickly these knit up, about a week’s worth of work. The pattern is Socks on a Plane, and I used about half a skein of Malabrigo Sock in Lotus.
I wanted something simple to show of the colors of the yarn, but with a little bit of detail, and I feel like this pattern was an excellent choice!
My latest FO, Rooty using Malabrigo Worsted ♥ This was such a fun knit, and pretty quick, too! I love the split at the back form the brim, it gives room for all of my hair, or room for a ponytail to stick out. I’ll definitely be making more of these in the future!
I also had way too much fun making the pom pom XD I love pom poms, so fun!
